Whether you plan to attend the Drysdale Car Show, or not, the Cruise that is held on the Saturday night prior to the show really is a lot of fun! The Cruise distance is 45 KMS, with only sealed roads being used.
Cars depart the Drysdale Reserve for a cruise around the beachfront to Indented Head and beyond. Literally hundreds of cars take part with both holidaymakers and locals lining the sides of the road, cheering the cars as they pass. The crowd get particularly heavy as you get to the Indented Head area.
It is a really nice feeling to see so many people enjoying your car. The kids in particular get extremely excited, waving to their favourites. And they especially love the Corvettes.
For those who wish to take part in the Cruise, stay in touch with the Surfcoast Club because we have learned to join the Cruise outside the Drysdale Reserve as it becomes a really crazy affair trying to join the line of cars from inside the Reserve.
We’ll discuss this at our Club Meeting that takes place on the Wednesday (3rd Jan) before the Cruise. We will also contact all members via email and on this website with any updates.
